Oyndarfjørður - a new expedition destination
On May 30, Port of Runavík adds yet another expedition destination, as Oyndarfjørður welcomes its very first cruise call.
Seaventure from 66° Expeditions will be the first ship to visit - the same expedition vessel that made the first call to Rituvík earlier this season. The ship will anchor just outside the village, while guests are brought ashore by Zodiacs.
Oyndarfjørður is a small village of around 140 residents on the northeastern coast of Eysturoy. Known for its peaceful surroundings, distinctive local character and the famous rocking stones by the shoreline, the village offers visitors a quiet and authentic Faroese experience.
The ship’s local agent in the Faroe Islands is Faroe Ship.
A first call is always something special.
Welcome to Oyndarfjørður!
