Cruise Elduvík
Elduvík, a small village in Northern Eysturoy with just 12 residents, offers a unique experience for expedition ships. Visitors can enjoy guided hiking tours, a visit to the local church, traditional Faroese chaindance, and shop for local souvenirs at the Old School.
The Port of Runavík, in partnership with Visit Runavík and the locals, offers this sustainable product for smaller ships, with a maximum of three calls per year.
Cruise lines interested in visiting Elduvík must inform their agents early, as regulations require approval from government authorities before tender boats can dock. This product, supporting the local community, has been approved for past visits. See legislation HERE.
If cruise lines are interested in calling Elduvík, please write to cruise@runavik.fo and we will provide packages with proposed ideas and costs. All developed in close cooperation with Visit Runavík and the local inhabitants.
- The Port of Runavík is proud to be a member of Cruise Europe, connecting cruise ports across Northern and Atlantic Europe, and of CLIA, the global cruise industry association advancing sustainable, safe, and innovative cruising worldwide.
