King's Harbour (main port)
King’s Harbour in Runavík is a historic natural harbor, once used by Vikings and the King of Denmark. This scenic gateway to the Faroe Islands offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere for visitors. The local cruise team is ready to tailor a program specifically for each ship, ensuring a memorable experience.
Practical facilities include excellent reception services with tourist information, Ask Me-staff, and a Welcoming Event. The port accommodates cruise ships at quays 2, 3, and 4, with a total length of 567 meters and depths ranging from 5 to 12 meters.
Visitors can enjoy a range of unique experiences, including a hike around Lake Toftavatn, the Jelly Fish Roundabout, Faroese traditional chaindance and local music, shopping for local souvenirs and handicrafts, and taking local bus tours.

The Welcoming Event at the Port of Runavík, in collaboration with Visit Runavík and Runavík Municipality, warmly greets all passengers and crew with a cultural performance - the traditional Faroese chain dance and local live music. The performance varies by visit and is held at a suitable location depending on the weather. Time and place are coordinated with the ship and local partners.
