A warm welcome to cruise guests from Spitsbergen

The guests from the cruise ship Spitsbergen received a warm welcome in Elduvík yesterday. The locals have been preparing for the visit for several months and organized special local experiences for the guests.

The village was beautifully decorated with Faroese flags to honour the guests. A lovely day with nice weather. The visit has been organized as a sosial sustainable project where all the income from the ship goes to the local community.

The ship’s agent in the Faroe Islands is Faroe Ship. Spitsbergen will return to Elduvík in October this year. We wish Spitsbergen, its crew, staff and passengers good luck on their further voyage.
