Port of Runavík
Our main port - King's Harbour
The Port of Runavík, also known as King's Harbour, is situated in the heart of Faroe Islands connected via subsea tunnels to Norðuroyggjar (20 minutes from Runavík to Klaksvík) and to Tórshavn (12 minutes from Runavík to Tórshavn). History tells us that both the King of Denmark and even earlier the vikings used this harbour, because it was the safest natural harbour in the Faroe Islands.
The port offers good reception facilities with tourist information, Ask Me-staff and free shuttle buses on request. Cruise ships dock at King's Harbour, quaysides 2, 3 and 4. The total length of the quaysides is 567 m with water depths from 5 - 12 m (of which 321 m have a depth of 12 m).
The Port of Runavík is a member of the European cruise association Cruise Europe counting more than 140 ports and destination members.
