Viking Settlement

Visit the Viking Settlement in Kvívík & Kollafjørður. Drive along Skálafjord and over the bridge connecting Eysturoy and Streymoy.

And further along the coast to the village of Kvívík and see the remains of an old Viking settlement.

In Kollafjørður you visit the old wooden church from 1837. On the way back you drive north on the west side of Eysturoy and past the village Eiði. Next is a photo stop viewing the free standing cliffs “The Giant and the Hag”. You drive pass the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands “Slættaratindur”, 882 m, and along Funningsfjord back to Runavík.

The duration of the tour is 4½ hrs.
