Ocean Adventurer calls Funningur Saturday 21 May

The cruise expedition ship Ocean Adventurer calls the beautiful village Funningur in the Norhtern part of Eysturoy on Saturday 21 May. The ship will anchor outside the village and the passengers will come ashore in zodiac boats. Arrival 8:00.

Funningur is ready to welcome both passengers and crew together with Visit Runavík and the Port of Runavík. The locals offer several experiences e.g. café and souvenir shop in the school, historical exhibition in Ólvustova, church visit and hymn singing, guided strolls through the village, Faroese Chain dance and hiking tours with local guides.

This is the first time that a cruise ship will visit Funningur and the local inhabitants Funningur have planned the visit together with the Port of Runavík and Visit Runavík.

Ocean Adventurer is 100 m long and there are approx. 80 passengers onboard. The ship’s operator is Quark Expeditions and its agent in the Faroe Islands is Faroe Ship.
