The Runavík area is one of the main locations for shopping in the Faroe Islands. You will find everything from small shops to large supermarkets where you can get all the items you need. There are numerous shops selling knitwear, music, stamps, art and handicraft. A visit to the manufacturer NAVIA in the neighbour village Toftir is a good choice if you are interested in modern Faroese woolwear design.
Most shops accept credit cards, so remember to ask for this while shopping
Opening hours vary from shop to shop, but most are open from 10:00 to 17:30 on weekdays, and from 10:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays. Most shops, including grocery, are closed on Sundays.
